Each manufacturer has its own individual measuring instructions with which it has the best experience. Basically, we would first like to differentiate between dogs without dewlap and dogs with dewlap/loose throat skin. In our experience, this is the only way to get the best measurement results. Please check which "category" your dog belongs to and then follow our recommended measuring instructions so that we can be sure that the collar will fit. Measuring Instructions For Dogs Without Dewlap
Breeds Of Dogs
These instructions are for breeds such as the Rodesian Ridgeback, Dalmatian, Doberman, Australian Shepherd, Whippet, Irish Wolfhound, Akita Inu, French Bulldog, Jack Russell and similar breeds. Dogs without dewlaps but with a lot of fur should also use these measuring instructions and part the fur in the area to be measured.
Dimension A
This is where the tape measure is placed where the collar is to sit later. Please do not add any extra length or finger width. Only the neck (parting the coat) should be measured here.
Measuring
Your darling should be standing and relaxed - just like the darling on the left in the photo. This will give you the best results.
Dimension B
This is the control measurement. Please place the tape measure directly behind the ears at the narrowest part of the neck (part the coat) and enter the result in the "Control measurement" box when ordering, without any additions or finger widths.

Breeds Of Dogs
These instructions are for breeds such as the Cane Corso Italiano, Bloodhound, Basset Hound, Dogue de Bordeaux, Mastino Napolitano, Shar-Pei, Pug, Old English Bulldog, Rottweiler, Labrador Retriever, Boxer and similar breeds.
Dimension A
This is where the tape measure is placed where the collar is to sit later. Please do not add any extra length or finger width. Only the neck (parting the coat) should be measured here. The measuring tape should be so tight that the dewlap or the loose throat skin "hangs down" in front of and behind it. Please do not measure this dewlap when it is hanging down, as the collar will definitely be too big this way.
Measuring
Your pet should be standing and relaxed - this gives the best results. For dogs with a lot of dewlap or loose throat skin, the neck can also be measured very well in a sitting position. The dog should sit upright and tilt its gaze slightly upwards.
